The Role
As an Assistant Development Manager, you will support the delivery of projects from acquisition through to completion, gaining exposure across feasibility, planning, design, and construction phases.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the end-to-end management of development projects
- Supporting feasibility studies including market research, financial modelling, and due diligence
- Assisting in the preparation of project budgets, timelines, and investment reports
- Coordinating with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to support project delivery
- Supporting engagement with councils and regulatory authorities to facilitate approvals
- Preparing project documentation including contracts, tender documents, and reports
- Monitoring project performance, costs, and risks, and assisting with mitigation strategies
- Working closely with Development Managers and internal teams including finance, marketing, and sales
This role is suited to a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking to build a long-term career in property development. You will enjoy working in a collaborative team environment and be eager to learn and grow.
To be successful, you will have:
- A degree in Property Development, Real Estate, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or similar
- 1–3 years of experience in property, construction, or project management (or similar exposure)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to support feasibility and financial analysis
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with a range of stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- A genuine interest in property development and project delivery
