An exciting opportunity for an experienced Contract Administrator to join one of Australia’s leading private construction companies and work on some exciting Tier 2 projects. With new projects recently awarded and more to be tendered, this commercial builder is confident in their upcoming pipeline of works! Operating for more than 40 years, this company has reinforced and delivered high level commercial and industrial projects across a range of sectors including education, health and retail up to $50M. The business strongly believes in nurturing a culture of continuous learning and growth, they strengthen this by frequent staff development programs.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this role will suit a driven Contract Administrator who is eager to hit the ground running and progress within the company. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Management of cost and procurement risks
  • Coordinating and managing project and site documentation
  • Preparing, negotiating, and finalising subcontract packages
  • Managing project accounts and assist with accurate financial tracking/forecasting
  • Client liaison, communicating directly to internal and external stakeholders
  • Progress claims, invoices, variations and relevant paperwork

To succeed in this role, you will be tertiary qualified with a degree in Construction Management or similar, in addition to this a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Contract Administrator working on projects valued at $5M or higher. You will challenge yourself on a variety of rewarding projects and expand your experience across a national group. Impeccable attention to detail and a solutions-focused mindset will be key as you ensure that all contracts are compliant with the required legislation and regulations. Your knowledge of contract negotiation, variations and RFI’s will see you transition smoothly into this position.
