Contracts Administrator

Our client, a prominent South Australian builder is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join their team. Known for their quality construction projects, the team are widely recognised as a builder who invests in and develops their people. Subcontractors working with the business see them and their clients as a priority, as these relationships are built on trust, care, and quality. In this role, you will see the project cost be negotiated directly between the client and builder, with a focus on great outcomes for all involved. If you are a Contracts Administrator who is looking to work with repeat clients and select subcontractors across pre-negotiated and upfront work – this is the role for you!
  
The Role
In your new role, you will be reporting to the Project Manager and you will possess the ability to identify and minimise our client’s exposure to contractual risk. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Produce, prepare and review packages, scopes and procurement schedules

  • Client liaison, communicating directly to internal and external stakeholders

  • Prepare and administer HSE projects system

  • Administer RFI’s to clients

  • Manage and track expenditure

  • Progress claims, invoices, variations and relevant paperwork

  • Ensure suppliers and subcontractors are in compliance with their proposed schedules

To be successful in this role, you will hold the relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, as well as a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the construction industry. Attention to detail and a solutions-focused mindset will be key as you ensure that all contracts are compliant with the required legislation and regulations. Your knowledge of contract negotiation, variations and RFI’s will see you transition smoothly into this position. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team will see you maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, co-workers, and clients to deliver great work.
