The Opportunity

We are partnering with a premium South Australian developer/builder with over 20 years of experience delivering residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Known for their ability to consistently deliver high-value developments with certainty across cost, quality, and programme, this business has built a reputation in the local market.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Estimator/ Cost Planner/ Contract Administrator to join their team, working closely with the Director of Development across upcoming projects. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure across both pre-construction and delivery phases within a developer-led environment.

The Role

This is a well-rounded position that will see you involved from early-stage feasibility through to contract administration, supporting the successful delivery of projects.
  • Prepare cost plans, feasibility estimates, and budgets for upcoming developments
  • Undertake detailed estimating and subcontractor pricing analysis
  • Assist with procurement, scopes, and subcontractor engagement
  • Support contract administration, including variations and progress claims
  • Work closely with the Director of Development on project strategy and delivery
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Monitor project costs and contribute to financial reporting
  • Assist in identifying risks and opportunities across project stages
You will be working in a collaborative, hands-on environment where your input will directly influence project outcomes.

The Like Mind
  • 3+ years’ experience in commercial construction or commercial development
  • Background in estimating, cost planning, or contract administration
  • Exposure to medium to large-scale commercial projects
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Confident working with subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across project stages
