Due to establishment and growth of a geotechnical team in Adelaide, this consultancy have grown their broader business and are continuously expanding their portfolio of projects around Australia. They now have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Geotechnical Team Leader to join their infrastructure group and work on significant projects upcoming in Adelaide. With a strong pipeline of work and opportunities on the horizon, there has never been a more exciting time to join!
 
The Role  
As the Team Lead of the Geotechnical group, you will be expected to run project teams on a variety of projects, with responsibility of training and mentoring junior staff. Joining the infrastructure team, you will cover a broad range of skills relating to geotechnical design and team leadership. You will be required to work without supervision on geotechnical design activities including foundations, retaining structures, embankments, and slopes. In achieving this, you will be responsible for meeting deadlines, monitoring budgets and controlling expenditure to meet financial targets, referring up as necessary. Your strong interpersonal skills will see you fostering strong client relationships, training and mentoring of geotechnical team members, and maintaining strong working relationships across the business globally.

Extensive knowledge of specialist areas and the ability to keep up to date with current industry information and your own knowledge and skills will see you as a front-runner for this role. You will have demonstrated capability to take ownership of geotechnical scope elements of large multi-disciplinary projects and lead small single discipline engagements. A degree in engineering, paired with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in geotechnical investigation, design and construction will hold you in high regard. You are a natural leader who can effectively manage, motivate and develop employees and contribute to the capability development of staff.
