The Role
Tandem require a highly motivated, commercially astute Site Manager, who is focused on safety and quality, whilst directing a team that fosters a positive working environment and a partnership approach.
Working with the Project Manager your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Conducting pre start and toolbox talks
High level of safety attention on all aspects the project.
Lead Industrial Relations
Co-ordinating labour activity on site, including all subcontractors’ activities
Conducting weekly site meetings with subcontractors’ supervisors
Monitoring & preparation of short term construction programmes
Liaising with the Contract Administrators to ensure all materials are ordered on schedule
Preparing the setup of all site requirements - crane, sheds,- hoist, amenities, and scaffolding etc
Maintaining quality control procedures
Conducting daily safety walks & safety committee meetings
Assess and minimise risk

To be successful in this role, you will be a natural leader who can negotiate and influence outcomes, show initiative and adaptability, as well as demonstrate the ability to lead, drive and mediate between stakeholders and personnel. You will be a confident communicator and be able to liaise with various personalities, from trades, subcontractors, stakeholders and clients.
