The SEEK Quarterly Report reveals a substantial drop in job flow across most industry sectors in states other than South Australia. The government and defence sectors remain consistent due to stable funding, long-term planning, and essential services. However, South Australia stands out as an exception, as the number of job roles advertised in the state has demonstrated remarkable stability over the past six months. This reflects a striking growth of 63% compared to pre-COVID levels in June 2019, which is significantly higher than the national average.

Construction Sector Resilience

The construction sector, across both building and civil, in South Australia has played a pivotal role in driving the state's employment growth. It emerged as the second-highest sector for job ads, indicating ongoing demand for skilled workers.
