ROUSSOS is excited to be partnering with Beltrame Civil, a highly respected and well-established South Australian based civil contractor. With a professional and innovative approach, they have delivered some of SA’s most challenging local and state government infrastructure projects. Their project capabilities span across a range of sectors including pipeline construction, concrete structures, major roads and subdivisions. Due to their secured pipeline of upcoming work, Beltrame Civil is now looking to engage a driven Project Engineer, to work across a variety of complex projects within a supportive environment.
 
The role
This Project Engineer role is responsible for assisting the Project Manager to deliver civil projects in a safe and timely manner, in accordance with contract documentation. The role includes a combination of design work, procurement, site management, testing and commissioning and completion of project documentation. This position will also be responsible for the management of a Graduate Engineer.
  
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Implementing project plans and developing ITP’s
  • Assisting Project Managers with onsite direction of work
  • Assisting the Project Manager with project forecasting and reporting
  • Completing risk assessments, safety instructions and safe work method statements
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, completing quality documentation and checking construction work to ensure compliance and eliminate defects
  • Providing leadership to the Graduate Engineer
  • Completing design and drafting activities & undertaking on-site, technical work
The ideal candidate
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and demonstrated experience delivering a diverse range of civil projects in the South Australian market. As this position requires liaising with a range of stakeholders, including Project Managers and Site Supervisors, effective communication skills are required to deliver projects on time and within budget. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, who is able to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
