Civil Project Manager

Job description

The Opportunity

ROUSSOS is partnering with a well-established Tier 3 civil contractor that continues to strengthen its presence across South Australia. Renowned for their supportive culture and strong repeat business, this organisation delivers a broad range of civil infrastructure projects, including water infrastructure, roadworks, drainage, earthworks, and structural concrete.

As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a Project Manager to deliver projects across SA Water, DIT, and local council sectors valued between $3M–$10M. This is a hands-on role where you will work alongside an experienced leadership team who prioritise teamwork, quality, and development.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, you will oversee the delivery of multiple civil projects from planning through to completion. You’ll manage all aspects of project delivery from budgeting and programming to quality, safety, and stakeholder management while leading high-performing site teams.
This role offers the opportunity to work locally, avoid extended travel, and be part of a business that values family, flexibility, and long-term stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of projects across SA Water, DIT, and council works.
  • Oversee programming, procurement, budgets, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Drive performance to achieve time, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and represent the business professionally on-site.
  • Ensure WHS and environmental compliance across all project stages.
  • Mentor engineers and site teams, promoting a positive, inclusive site culture.
The Like Mind

You are an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer ready to take the next step. You bring technical understanding across civil works such as water infrastructure, road construction, structural concrete, and drainage, and you value being part of a team that puts people and quality first.

You will have:
  • Demonstrated experience delivering civil infrastructure projects $3M–$10M.
  • Strong background in SA Water, DIT, or local government works.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills.
  • A proactive approach with a focus on safety, planning, and collaboration.
  • The ability to build strong relationships and contribute to a positive team environment.
