Job description
The Opportunity
ROUSSOS is partnering with a mid-tier civil contractor that has genuinely created something special in the civil construction industry. While they deliver complex, high-quality infrastructure projects across South Australia, what truly sets them apart is their culture. This is a team that shows up for one another. They back each other and push one another to strive for excellence every day.
If you are starting your civil engineering career and have 12–18 months practical experience this is the environment for you. You will learn from some of the best delivery professionals in the state, gaining exposure to diverse projects up to $45M.
This is a rare chance to join a team where you are valued not just for the work you do, but for the attitude, effort, and energy you bring.
The Role
Working closely with highly experienced Project Engineers and Project Managers, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of civil and structural works across multiple project stages.
Responsibilities include:
• Assisting in day to day site operations and supporting senior engineers
• Managing documentation, QA checks, ITPs, and supporting site compliance
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, materials, and logistics
• Contributing to safety, quality, and environmental outcomes
• Gaining hands-on exposure to planning, scheduling, and cost tracking
You’ll be supported every step of the way, but also pushed to think, contribute, and grow your capability quickly.
The Like Mind
Culture is everything in this business. To thrive here, you will be:
• Degree-qualified in civil engineering or a related discipline, with 12-18 months of experience.
• Someone who genuinely enjoys working with others and contributes to a positive, energetic site environment.
• You want to be mentored by the best, absorb as much as you can, and build strong technical foundations early in your career.
• You are someone who asks questions, takes initiative, and isn’t afraid to step forward when opportunities arise.
• You bring effort, reliability, and a willingness to do the small things that make a team high performing.
• You want a role that challenges you, stretches your capability, and helps you evolve quickly as an engineer.
If you want to be part of a team that genuinely looks after each other, a team that celebrates wins together, supports you on the harder days, and pushes you to be the best version of yourself, this is that place.
