Civil Site Engineer

Job description

About the Company

ROUSSOS Recruitment is proudly partnering with a well established Adelaide based civil contractor headquartered in the north west. With a strong pipeline of $5M to $15M projects, they deliver a diverse mix of building related civil infrastructure and general civil works across metropolitan Adelaide.
Known for their collaborative and down to earth culture, this business invests in its people and promotes from within. Leadership is accessible, progression is planned, and engineers are supported to grow through real responsibility and mentorship.

About the Role

This opportunity is suited to a Site Engineer who is either already stepping into Project Engineer responsibilities or ready to formally make that move.
You will work closely with Project Managers and Site Supervisors across both site and office functions, progressively increasing your ownership of planning, coordination, commercial input and client engagement. The structure is clear, from Site Engineer to Project Engineer and ultimately to Project Manager, with no unnecessary layers in between.
You will gain exposure to programming, cost management, subcontractor coordination and stakeholder communication, setting you up for long term progression.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support day to day site engineering and coordination activities
- Assist with planning, programming and project reporting
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and on site operations
- Manage documentation including ITPs, SWMS, RFIs and QA records
- Contribute to cost tracking, variations and forecasting
- Monitor safety, quality and environmental compliance
- Work closely with senior leaders to strengthen project outcomes and delivery performance

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered, you will bring:

- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- 2 years experience as a Site Engineer within Adelaide's civil construction sector
- Experience across building related civil works, infrastructure or general civil projects
- Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to grow into a Project Engineer role

Most importantly, you are looking for a long term home where development is intentional and contribution is recognised.

Why This Role

This is an opportunity to join a business where you are supported, mentored and trusted. With a clear progression pathway, diverse projects and a leadership team that prioritises people, you will have the structure and backing to build a meaningful career in civil construction.
