The Role
As a hands-on Site Manager, you will be responsible for the daily management and coordination of civil projects and employees including enforcing legislation and company policy. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will conduct daily planning and programming of sites, order materials in line with purchase orders, manage on-site expenditure, ensure daily pre-starts are carried out and tailored to site conditions, ensure all plant and equipment is maintained, complete weekly safety audits and conduct weekly toolbox meetings. Your eagerness to learn and be involved in all facets of the project will hold you in good stead to uphold their values whilst leading by example. Ideally, you will have had strong exposure as a Site Supervisor within the Civil Sector on projects up to $15m. Effective communication skills are essential as the role will involve liaising with your direct Project Manager as well as the coordination/direction of all trades, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget.
