Contracts Administrator

Job description


We have been engaged by a prominent commercial builder to source an experienced Contract Administrator, who will contribute to a variety of projects up to $20M. The team are recognised for their quality construction projects and relationship driven approach to business. Subcontractors working with the team see them and their clients as a priority, as these relationships are built on trust, care, and quality. In this role, project cost will be negotiated directly between the client and builder, with a focus on great outcomes for all involved. If you are a Contracts Administrator who is looking to work with repeat clients and select subcontractors across pre-negotiated and upfront work – this is the role for you!
  
The Role
This role will suit a driven Contract Administrator who is eager to hit the ground running and achieve great results. Reporting to the Senior Contract Administrator, Project Manager and Project Director, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Produce, prepare, and review packages, scopes, and procurement schedules
  • Client liaison, communicating directly to internal and external stakeholders
  • Administer RFI’s to clients
  • Manage and track expenditure
  • Progress claims, invoices, variations, and relevant paperwork
  • Ensure suppliers and subcontractors are compliant with their proposed schedule

To be successful in this role, you will hold the relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, as well as proven experience in a similar role with a commercial builder. Attention to detail and a solutions-focused mindset will be key as you ensure that all contracts are compliant with the required legislation and regulations. Your knowledge of contract negotiation, variations and RFI’s will see you transition smoothly into this position. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team will see you maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, co-workers, and clients to deliver great work.
