This national commercial contractor is known for their capability across a wide range of sectors including office, hospitality, health and aged care, retail, residential, and education. Locally they have constructed a knowledgeable and passionate team of 50, who are recognised for delivering the highest quality commercial construction projects. With significant tenders in the pipeline and growth within the business, the team are looking to engage a passionate Estimator who is looking to transition into a highly sought after and trusted mid-tier commercial builder.
The Role
Joining the high performing team, you will be responsible for producing estimating duties across the full project lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to work on significant projects, ensuring they meet specified time constraints and are delivered within budget.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Participating in proposal preparations, competitive bids and reviewing tender documentation
- Liaising with relevant stakeholders, negotiating the tender process
- Working with Project Managers to manage invoicing / debts and other project tasks
- Assisting Project Leader's with compliance with Safety in Design & OH&S requirements
- Daily updates of progress reports and web-based tracking toolkits (database/ data entry)
The successful candidate will have the relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management and have demonstrated experience working as an Estimator or a Cost Planner within the local market. You will have exceptional time management skills, and the ability to take initiative when making decisions within the department. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will allow you to work with a range of individuals and develop long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
