ROUSSOS have partnered with a leading national contractor delivering high profile building projects across Australia to source a HSE Advisor. This position presents the opportunity to join a creative, solution-based organisation, who uses their innovation to deliver complex projects to the highest level of quality. As a full-service construction company, this contractor is involved in the design and delivery of iconic buildings across Australia in sports, health and science, defence, education, residential, commercial, retail and industrial sectors. Committed to investing in the training and development of their staff, this is a unique opportunity to be mentored by strong leaders in the SA market working on exciting Tier 1 projects.
The Role
As HSE Advisor, you will be supporting site personnel and ultimately be responsible for fostering a culture of safety. Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Implementing safety management procedures
- Uphold an awareness of WHS legislation, guidelines, and risk management in relation to the building industry
- Ensure company policies and procedures are maintained to reflect legislative requirements
- Conduct site inspections and audits
- Coordinate incident investigations and required reporting
- Provide safety education and training
- Assist in development of hazard and risk identification processes and controls
To be successful in this role, you would have previously worked as a Safety Officer on a commercial construction site. Most importantly, you will have great stakeholder management skills, as well as a positive attitude to supporting the project team. A Cert IV in WHS and an up to date First Aid Certificate is beneficial.
