Your key focus will be to lead and provide expert guidance to the safety teams in South Australia and Victoria.
The Role
Reporting through to the Operations Manager and sharing your expertise across SA and VIC, you will oversee and take the lead on all HSE aspects of projects and ensure all works are completed in accordance with required contract conditions, standards, and company procedures.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist to the wider project leadership team in the implementation, review and revision of Work Health & Safety Management Plan
- Ensure all requirements for Health & Safety are incorporated into all projects
- Lead by example promoting and maintaining a culture of working safely
- Report on all health and safety matters including preparation of incident and loss statistics and monthly summary reports
- Ensure regular site safety inspections of site activities are carried out
- Plan and carry out H&S audits when required
As a passionate HSE professional, you will have demonstrated ability to develop a successful safety team and educate project leadership through advice on WHS requirements. You will have a Certificate IV in WHS, paired with relevant industry experience in the civil or commercial space. You will be a confident team member with extensive knowledge of current legislation and risk management processes. Strong interpersonal skills, combined with a dedication to company values and ethics, is an absolute must!
