We have been engaged by a leading commercial construction company to source a motivated Project Health and Safety Advisor. This organisation has over 30 years of experience in delivering a range of solutions across works including new build, refurbishment and fit out. Joining this reputable business, you will have the opportunity to implement and monitor key health and safety procedures across key developments within South Australia. We are seeking a passionate, forward thinking Safety Advisor, who can bring people on a journey.
The Role
Working closely with the Site Manager, you will effectively manage safety procedures across the project. This role requires taking responsibility for assisting the project team in establishing, implementing, and auditing Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems on site.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Ensure documentation, procedures & certifications are maintained
- Measure and report company performance to senior management and Director
- Adhere to current WHS codes of practice and legislation
- Liaise with employees, subcontractors, and clients
- Implement & audit Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems on-site
The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV in WHS, and an up to date First Aid certificate will be beneficial. You will have experience working within a safety role on a commercial construction site and have sound knowledge of the relevant health and safety regulations. Strong interpersonal skills will be essential, as you will be collaborating with project teams and liaising with various stakeholders for project requirements.
