The Opportunity
We are partnering with a reputable building services engineering firm to source a Mechanical Engineer. Our client delivers some of South Australia’s most iconic projects across the education, health, commercial, and government sectors. With a diverse project offering, you will have the opportunity to work across significant tier 1 and 2 style projects across the state. This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join their Adelaide based building services team to work on exciting and dynamic projects and deliver high quality engineering consultancy services to a broad range of clients. This is a great opportunity to join an Adelaide owned and operated business that has a longstanding senior leadership team, allowing for mentorship and long-term career development pathways.
The Role
This role will enable you to define your career pathway by contributing to SA’s most desirable and unique projects. As career development is supported in this consultancy through tailored coaching and mentoring by the senior management team. Your role will include but not be limited to:
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience within a consultancy, across a range of building services projects. You will possess the relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, in addition to knowledge of the Australian mechanical engineering design standards, codes, and practices. Problem-solving skills will be essential, as you will continue to provide solutions and overcome challenges in collaboration with the team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will see you thrive, as you liaise with clients, stakeholders, and the project teams. This role will provide you with opportunities for further growth and building on your skillset so we would love to hear from self-motivated, self-sufficient, and proactive individuals.

- Design and manage HVAC projects in accordance with code and standards.
- Problem solving issues that arise during the project life cycle, implementing standards throughout the duration.
- Innovative concept development of new mechanical engineering design components, maintaining compliance and QA.
- Liaise with internal & external stakeholders.
- Ensure quality design concepts are maintained within best-practice principles.
- Maintain orderly project records and documentation.
