This is a strategic leadership role that will provide the opportunity to be a part of projects which will define South Australia in the urban development and infrastructure space. Due to continuous growth, this organisation is looking to engage a Principal Civil Engineer with experience in property and infrastructure projects. This role will be responsible for growing and leading a team to deliver highly technical and complex engineering works across bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, storm water drainage and major roads.
The Role
As Principal Civil Engineer, you will be develop and support a team to deliver complex projects across land development, civil infrastructure, road design and stormwater. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
You should have relevant tertiary qualifications and 10+ years of experience in the industry, with demonstrated local experience working across land development and infrastructure projects. This experience will expose you to all phases of the development process of varying sized projects. As this is a senior leadership position, you will be able to demonstrate a strong technical skillset with a passion to mentor and develop other Engineers. Your natural leadership qualities will see you successfully manage a team in addition to your own workload.

The Role

- Input, manage and review civil engineering drawings and design
- Review engineering designs, plans, prepare project specifications, scopes of work, services review and project opinion of probable costs
- Prepare concept, feasibility and detailed design documentation and obtain relevant reviews and approvals
- Meet with the project team on a regular basis to provide advice and mentoring on operational, project and management responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections with clients, contractors, council and regulatory authorities where required
