The Role
As Safety Officer, you will be integral in maintaining a strong on-site safety culture, ensuring compliance, and driving proactive risk management. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting site inductions, safety audits, and risk assessments
- Leading ICAM and incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting and corrective actions
- Overseeing crane and high-rise safety procedures in line with legislative requirements
- Supporting site teams to embed best-practice WHS systems and processes
- Acting as the key point of contact for all safety matters across the project
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety Officer with:
- 2–3 years experience in a similar role within commercial construction
- Background in apartment builds and crane safety highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management
- Certificate IV in WHS (minimum), with additional safety qualifications an advantage
- ICAM or incident investigation experience
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust across site teams
