The Role
- Lead the design and delivery of education projects across various stages (concept to construction)
- Manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement, particularly within the education and government sectors.
- Oversee project teams and coordinate internal resources to meet deadlines and design objectives.
- Ensure projects comply with relevant codes, regulations, and education design standards.
- Contribute to design reviews and drive quality and design excellence across all phases.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level team members.
- Liaise with consultants and contractors to resolve issues and maintain design integrity during documentation and construction.
The Like Mind
- Registration as an Architect in Australia
- Minimum 8+ years of post-grad experience, with a proven track record in education-sector architecture
- Strong proficiency in Revit and confidence working in BIM environments.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Deep understanding of DDA, NCC, and Australian standards related to education projects.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and managing small teams.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile studio.
