The Opportunity

ROUSSOS Recruitment is partnering with a leading South Australian architecture studio to source a Senior Document Controller for a significant public health infrastructure project. Known for delivering innovative and complex healthcare projects, this studio is seeking an experienced professional to take ownership of the document control process across the full lifecycle of this high-profile project.

The Role

As the Senior Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and maintaining project documentation to ensure quality, compliance, and consistency across all phases. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing documentation using platforms such as Aconex or Procore
  • Coordinating document flow across architects, engineers, consultants, and broader project teams
  • Maintaining version control, audit trails, and document registers
  • Conducting quality checks and ensuring alignment with internal protocols and industry standards
  • Implementing and continuously improving internal document control procedures
  • Supporting the team with document retrieval, compliance tracking, and system troubleshooting
  • Ensuring timely distribution of drawings, specifications, and correspondence
  • Assisting with project close-out documentation and archiving processes

You’ll bring extensive experience in document control, ideally within hospital or health-related projects, and be confident working in structured and deadline-driven environments. You will also have:
  • A strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of document and records management systems, Microsoft Office, and auditing processes
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to liaise across multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing document control frameworks
  • A commitment to improving system efficiency and internal processes
  • Professional presentation and strong communication skills
  • The ability to manage high volumes of documents while maintaining accuracy and compliance
