The Role

In your role as a Senior Fire Protection Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, evaluating, and optimising fire protection systems and protocols for various projects. Levering your expertise in fire dynamics, engineering principles, and regulatory compliance, you will collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure safety. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Lead the conceptualisation, design, and analysis of fire protection systems for installations.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard against fire hazards and threats.
  • Evaluate existing fire protection measures and recommend improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to integrate fire protection requirements into the overall design and construction process.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
  
The ideal candidate

This role would suit a seasoned engineer with 7+ years of experience in Fire Protection Engineering (Design experience) and proficient understanding and experience with Australian Fire Protection standards. You will be self-sufficient and proactive and will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills to contribute to a team environment. As you will be working on defence projects, you will require an Australian citizenship.
