The Opportunity
ROUSSOS is working alongside an established Adelaide-based practice recognised for its strong architectural foundations and carefully considered interior design work. The studio delivers projects across a broad range of typologies, often working on technically complex buildings where clarity of design and attention to detail are critical.
With a growing pipeline of work, the studio is seeking a Senior Interior Designer who can play a leadership role within the interiors team - someone who is comfortable guiding projects, supporting others, and contributing to the studio's design direction.
The practice values long-term client relationships, collaboration across disciplines, and a calm, professional studio culture where designers are trusted to take ownership.
The Role
As a Senior Interior Designer, you will take responsibility for the delivery of interior packages across multiple projects, working from early design thinking through to documentation and construction support.
You will lead by example, setting design standards, mentoring junior team members, and working closely with the Interiors Director to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes. The role involves regular client and consultant interaction, requiring confidence in presenting design ideas, managing expectations, and coordinating across architectural and consultant teams.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being deeply involved in both design and delivery.
The Like Mind
You will bring 7+ years' Australian experience delivering interior projects within a design-led studio environment. Experience across complex typologies such as aged care, education, civic or workplace projects will be highly regarded, as will exposure to hospitality and residential work.
You will be comfortable taking ownership, supporting others, and contributing to a collaborative team culture. Strong attention to detail, a thoughtful design approach, and advanced Revit capability are essential.
