As Senior Structural Engineer, you will have variety in your role as you contribute to delivering complex building projects across a range of industries nationally, whilst leading a team of junior Engineers. You will receive strong technical guidance and mentorship from industry leaders which will enable you to progress into an Associate role in the future.
The role
Reporting to the Director of Structures, you will work across a broad range of structural engineering building projects. Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering and 6+ years in local industry. A working knowledge of relevant software is essential together with experience using Australian Standards for concrete, steel and timber design. You will have the ability to prioritise tasks and effectively schedule time to complete work and coordinate to avoid conflicts. As a leader, it is imperative that you present your own ideas and encourage feedback and take the time to listen and mentor Junior Structural Engineers. In return, you will have the opportunity to progress into an Associate role within a tailored career pathway.

The role

- Producing high-quality and complex concept designs
- Communicating with internal stakeholders, fellow team members and peers, liaising with architects, builders, trades, etc

- Creating accurate design calculations to client specs and standards
- Working collaboratively with project teams from concept to construction
- Working effectively with other disciplines (e.g. mechanical and electrical)
