We are excited to collaborate with a highly regarded global engineering firm who is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Adelaide office. With a strong presence in the local industry, you will lead key projects in defence, transport, and buildings across Australia. With several major projects secured, the firm is looking to grow its Adelaide team. The role Reporting to the Discipline Manager, you will be responsible for leading design teams across buildings and structures projects. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, with 7+ years’ experience in buildings, industrial or defence projects. You will have a thorough understanding on Australian standards and relevant building codes. As you will be working on defence projects in SA, you will hold Australian Citizenship. Proficiency in preparing and reviewing reports and technical specifications as well as delivering work on time and according to budget will be required to succeed in this role. You will be a critical thinker, who is driven to overcome challenges and provide solutions that exceed client expectations. Individuals that are Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer’s will be advantageous.

- Lead technical teams as Senior Structural Engineer and carry out concept and detailed design of building structures.
- Prepare design calculations and specifications, research investigations, report preparation, and other activities of limited scope
- Work within Australian Standard and established industry practice
- Lead and coordinate with other staff in the team
- Train and supervise engineers in structural design
- Liaises with clients, statutory authorities and other consultants
