This national commercial contractor is recognised for their capability across a wide range of sectors including education, hospitality, health and fitness, and industrial. With the acquisition of projects and as the preferred contractor for more, the team are looking to engage a Site Manager who is comfortable taking the lead on commercial projects from $5M+. Locally they have constructed a knowledgeable and passionate team of 20, who are recognised for delivering high quality project outcomes. With a client-centric approach and a drive to cement themselves as a market leader, the team focus on forging genuine relationships and partnerships with their subcontractors, clients, stakeholders and within their team. 
  
Their upcoming pipeline consists of a range of commercial projects from $5M - $15M. This is a great opportunity for a driven Site Manager who is looking for variety in their work and a people-first business.

The Role

Reporting through to the Project Manager and Construction Manager, you will ensure the smooth running and completion of projects. You will be responsible for making sure your team is adhering to all health & safety requirements on-site, always the one setting a great example.

Your daily responsibilities will be, but are not limited to: 
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and staff
  • Coordinate the onsite project team of subcontractors and trades
  • Ensure teams work together to deliver quality work to strict deadlines
  • Liaise closely with clients and internal departments
  • Identify and promptly solve issues as they arise 
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience delivering commercial projects up to $5M+ across a range of sectors and have confidence in coordinating a diverse range of project teams and contractors. As a natural leader, you will possess strong communication and decision-making skills, along with sound understanding of project drawing specifications. A trade background will hold you in high regard, as well as an ability to liaise with various personalities, from trades to subcontractors and clients. Demonstrated ability in building long-term and effective relationships is key, to ensure a smooth completion of projects.
